We decided to put up a cute little 3 foot Christmas Tree this year. Our boys are grown (no grandkids, yet…not sure I’m ready for that) and gone, so we don’t always put a tree up. With only a couple exceptions, we decided to only put “hand-crafted” ornaments. Now don’t get all crazy…I don’t necessarily mean wood crafts (scroll saw, etc….that’ll be next year). But there is one thing I’m really into: LEGOs. So, I’ve been making an “ornament” here and there to put on the tree.
This little Hedwig-in-a-cage came in a mini LEGO set I found in the checkout of Target a week or so ago. I thought it would be a great addition to our tree.
Poe Dameron's X-Wing
Again from another mini LEGO set, I thought this X-Wing would look really cool on the tree.
I saw a Reindeer ornament on LEGO’s web site a couple weeks ago, so I figured I would try to model mine after it. It’s pretty close but not exact. Still, it’s a good, traditional addition to the tree.
Olaf from Frozen
I patterned this one also from a post I saw on Facebook from the folks at LEGO. I tried to make as close as possible, but I didn’t have all the exact pieces. So, I improvised.
